Bonding Bondage and Emotion

  • 30 Professor Dahls gate Oslo, Oslo, 0260 Norway (map)

This workshop is planned for both first-timers, and more experience people, and its focus is not on technique, but rather on emotionality, on intimacy besides the sexual or the erotic, on finding, creating and sharing other forms of connecting.

It will focus on safety and information, on negotiating consent (or the lack of it), and on the simple technical aspects minimally required for (guided) improvisational ropework.

The workshop space not only welcomes but celebrates Gender and Sexual Diversity, as well as racial and ethnic diversity, and is committed to creating a safeR space where dominant oppression and power structures might be questioned, checked, held back and fought against. The workshop will center the voices and experiences of marginalized folx, and attempt to queer the stereotypical notions about ropework as a way of creating awareness about one’s body, and others’ bodies as well.

Though it is not required, if you plan on coming accompanied, please try to ensure that you come to the workshop with someone with whom you feel comfortable being emotionally vulnerable around, and vice-versa.
