Arrangement av VI, VII
VI, VII is pleased to open an exhibition with works by Brit Fuglevaag, one of Norway's most influential textile artists, in dialog with Jorunn Hancke Øgstad. The opening will take place during Bjørvika Art Night.
For decades, Brit Fuglevaag has challenged traditional notions of tapestry while exploring new materials and techniques. The exhibition includes eight of Fuglevaag's works, ranging from traditional tapestries to more experimental pieces. These works include materials such as surplus plastic from famous fashion houses in Paris and recycled waste from the fishing industry, collected from the shore along the Varangerfjord.
In addition, a new work by Jorunn Hancke Øgstad will be shown, which enters into a dialog with Fuglevaag's works, creating an exciting encounter between different artistic expressions across generations.
