Goro Tronsmo moved in to Billedhoggerforeningen on the 29th of August. She brought a dog, a dancer, half of her furniture, fifteen suitcases and started renovating Villa Furulund. Goro’s exhibition period includes a public program inside the installation with specific opening hours.
Goro Tronsmo has spent the last 10 years working on a series of large-scale, living architectural installations. In her work, she transforms and stages the spaces she engages with, to offer a different perspective – on structures within the art scene, on buildings, and on institutions. Her most recent project was an installation for Lyshallen at the National Museum for the opening exhibition «Vi kaller det kunst." It depicted an urban structure, complete with apartments, a sauna, a museum, backstreets, and squares. She also works with actors, graphic staging, and film.
