Welcome to Steam Talk Finland – Startup event to inspire students and young entrepreneurs!


Are you a business student with a brilliant idea? Great! A promising coder? A creative soul? Even better! This is a startup event for students and young entrepreneurs from different disciplines and backgrounds. 


Finland is a startup forerunner. Have you heard about the startup epidemic in Finland? It has been spreading like wildfire. If you haven’t, you’re not alone. Finns don’t brag. That’s why Finland is the home of the world’s best kept secrets. Slush, Aalto Entrepreneurship Society, Startup Sauna, Wave Ventures - ring a bell? Didn’t think so.

The common denominator for all of these is that they are student-led and student-run initiatives from Aalto University campus. To spread the word, we have invited students from Aalto University to tell us how they made it happen. Moreover, there will be entrepreneurs with experience in AI 🤖 and gaming 🎮 to share their stories and lessons learned on the way.


We can promise inspirational speakers, a pitching competition with tickets to SLUSH 2018 for the best pitcher, as well as networking with free food 🍔 and drinks 🍺 and music by DJ Matti Aikio. Maria Amelie will be hosting the event and the other speakers are Marius Andresen from K8 industridesign, Elina Arponen from Quicksave Interactive and Maria Ritola from Iris.ai.
