Schouskollektivet Extended: Moving Interactions

  • Oslo teatersenter 0576 Oslo, Norway (map)

Schouskollektivet Extended is a mini-festival showcasing different artists working in Oslo in the interdisciplinary field. We have an exciting program with workshops, film screenings, and performances - so make sure you show up at Oslo Teatersenter in the last weekend of July!

Schoukollektivet Extended is aimed at artists and people interested in art on all levels and stages of their lives, and who wishes to dive into the featured artists' works. You can explore different performance techniques, learn something new and find a network of people who are experimenting with the current tendencies in art. Some of the performances will also be created during the weekend, so you will witness new and spontaneous performances too. Want to join? -------------------
Schouskollektivet was established as an arena in 2016 at Deichmanske bibliotek, Grünerløkka, and was one of the main places in Oslo offering artists the possibility of staging études. Since 2017 Schouskollektivet has been collaborating with Oslo teatersenter on creating The Research Room, which provides artists with the opportunity of doing artistic researches over a weekend. In both programs they key element is the contact with the audience, and the dialogue that takes place after the work presentations/performances.
Schouskollektivet Extended is the largest event so far, gathering artists from different fields to both share and create work over a weekend at Oslo teatersenter this summer. All artists have been working or connected to Schouskollektivet during a two-year period, and they are now for the first time all coming together.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Monica Emilie Herstad: Ibsen and Dance
Sketches for Spring solo performance

Touring the world with her awardwinning Ibsen-related performances, Monica Emilie Herstad will at Schouskollektivet Extended direct a workshop, based on literature vs. movement. The theme is expected to be: How can we read a text from a perspective of physicality and its options? Can the one replace the other, why and why not? are questions being asked here. With practical exercises we will step into some of these paths together, in this Ibsenian context Oslo, anno 2018.

ACTS – laboratory for performance practices: InPulse – bouncing back from thin air
Join a 2 hours long performance with interdisciplinary artists from music, dance, performance and visual art. In Pulse creates its composition and dramaturgy in the moment, establishing also live interrelations with audience. This time InPulse will explore the outside space and be inspired by what the air brings, using ACTS’ practice: instant collective creations.

*
Natalia Vik and Hanna Mjåvatn:
We are two independent dance artists that are curious to explore various tools/scores that can be beneficial in creative processes or just for pure fun and development. In focus is the inner creative being, co-creation, understanding, depth, vibrations and the listening body. Many of our tools are a result of independent solo research and is therefore deeply rooted in our nature and being.

Shahrzad Malekian's works aim to give an aesthetic voice to the unspeakable and translate it to a collective physical/visual experience. She works on representing the parts of memory that the narrator is not able to express in words, and instead communicates through physical expressions and gestures.
*
Outdoors barbecue:
Bring your own food and drink. We will provide everything else. This is open for everyone who feels like sharing a good conversation and meet up to celebrate summer. You will also experience some performances around you!

"Augmented reality"
Malgorzata Renata Aulejtner (Malgorzata Renata Aulejtner Photography)/ organization International Art Scene

The project is about three-dimensional picture where special 3D glasses are needed in order to see the picture in third dimension. The project is a staged photography where a scene from a movie is reconstructed. The idea of the picture is to make it real. It is to get the feeling and move the observer to another from a scene. It is therefore a show.
