Nedetid- Ny separatutstilling med arbeider av Anna Ihle .

I utstillingen Nedetid viser Anna Ihle to nye installasjoner: Power nap og Downtime. Arbeidet med Nedetid har stort sett foregått mellom frokost og middag på virkedager. I arbeidstiden har Ihle forhandla mellom en protestantisk vestlandsk arbeidsmoral og en start-up-vibe, begge inspirert av Ihles hjemby: oljehovedstaden Stavanger.
Anna Ihle (f.1984, Stavanger) har de siste fem årene jobbet med verk som undersøker arbeidets betydning idag. I sitt kunstneriske arbeid har hun blant annet hugget i stein, skjært i tre, vasket gull og invitert til samtaler i arbeidsprosessen. Samtalene inneholder gjerne spørsmål som "Når er arbeidsdagen din over? Hva regnes som jobb? Hei, hva tenker du på når du jobber? Når er timene etter jobb rekreasjon og ikke bare rehabilitering?"

I Stavanger er hun aktiv i styret til visningsrommet Studio17. Ihle har studert på Konstfack, Stockholm og National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, og har tidligere vist arbeider på blant annet Konsthall C, Uppsala Konstmuseum, Art Lab Gnesta (Sverige) NYLO, Reykjavik og i Norge har hun stilt ut blant annet på Spriten Kunsthall, Telemark Kunstsenter, Kunstmuseet i Nord- Trøndelag, Kunstgarasjen og Fotogalleriet, Oslo.

Produksjonen av Nedetid er støttet av Stavanger Kommune, Rogaland Fylkeskommune, Kulturrådets Utstillingstøtte for kunstnere i etableringsfasen og Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond.

In the exhibition Anna Ihle shows two new installations: Power nap and Downtime. The work with «Downtime" has mostly taken place between breakfast and dinner on work days. During her working hours, the artist has been negotiating between a protestant Norwegian west coast work ethic, and a start-up vibe, both inspired by Ihles hometown Stavanger, the oilcapital of Norway.

For the past five years Anna Ihle s works has been investigating the importance of work today. In her artistic practice, she has carved in stone , carved in wood, beenn gold panning and invited to talks in the work process. The conversations often contain questions such as "When is your working day over? What is considered a job? Hey, what do you think about while you´re working? When are the hours after work recreation and not just rehabilitation?"

In Stavanger Ihle is active on the board of the artist-run project space Studio17.
